We will punctuate the end of our week of prayer with a special concert by Larry Ford, a singer from the Gaither Vocal Group. The concert will be held at 5 pm followed by a social time with refreshments downstairs.
About Larry Ford
From the sounds of grand opera to the stages of Southern Gospel, Grammy winner Larry Ford has found audiences responding to his commanding voice. Originally from Lubbock, Texas, Larry’s work has taken him to 49 of the 50 Southern gospel star Larry Ford has been singing since childhood, studied classical music at college (his brother Bruce Ford is a celebrated opera singer), and did some early stints with gospel groups like the Downings and the Dixie Echoes, but his entrée to the world stage was a part of the mighty Gaither family ministries. A featured vocalist on several of their popular and plenteous Homecoming videos, he has attracted a legion of admirers who appreciate his clear tenor and utter sincerity. Ford’s international concert schedule and recording career have been particularly prolific since the turn of the millennium, and the Grammy-winning former pastor has made albums not just of hymns and praise music, but of patriotic American songs and Irish folk tunes.
