enditnow Summit On Abuse

Abuse doesn’t recognize race, age, gender, or even faith. You can do something to help end abuse in your community and support survivors.

Did you know that 68% of victims of violence will reach out to a church member before seeking the advice of a pastor? That means there is a 68% chance someone may come to you for help. Are you prepared? Do you know what to do to help?

The annual NorthAmerican Division Summit on Abuse is free and virtual. Tune in on November 13 to Enditnow North America for practical presentations from industry experts, and learn about tools you can use to help create safe churches and communities.

Speakers:

Mike Sloan is the Director of the Safeguarding Initiative at GRACE. For the last ten years, @mikeasloan has trained churches, schools, and other Christian ministries in abusive prevention and response best practices across the United States and abroad.

Tracy Ray is the Executive Director of @safehavenofpenderinc, serving victims/survivors of domestic violence. She has worked for more than thirty years to serve marginalized populations.

Ardis & Dick Stenbakken have worked together in ministry for almost sixty years. They have served at the General Conference, Dick as director of Adventist Chaplaincy Ministries, and Ardis as director of Women’s Ministries. It was during her time as a director that what is now enditnow was begun in 2001.

Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference. Tune in on November 13 to the @nadadventist and @enditnow social media platforms.

Presentations will be available in English, with Spanish and French subtitles.
